Light industrial and commercial office space
This site at the juncture of a major interstate (the Massachusetts Turnpike) was a prime location for an industrial park. The goal was to capitalize on that by creating the area’s finest business park for light commercial and office space. However, the land came with major elevation changes, ledges, wetlands, poor soils, an inadequate water supply, and little public infrastructure.
THE ODG APPROACH
O’Connell Development Group first defined the environmental parameters and created a thoughtful, environmentally sensitive site plan with attractive roadways. In the design phase, we specified requirements for siting, landscaping, building design, and parking design that would ensure a consistent level of quality as each lot was developed. We also worked closely with state and local officials to identify and secure funding for the needed infrastructure.
The result was 80 developable acres, which will translate to 425,000 square feet of light industrial and commercial office space. All in a quality setting that will protect property owners’ investments.
