PeoplesBank signed a purchase and sale agreement for the Yankee Pedlar restaurant property at Northampton and Beech streets in Holyoke, Massachusetts, and has plans to build a new financial services center on the 2-acre site. PeoplesBank has retained O’Connell Development Group as development consultant to manage the design, permitting and development for the project. Affiliated company Western Builders will act as construction manager. Preliminary plans anticipate saving and repurposing the original 1882 Hildreth House as part of the new financial services center.
The new PeoplesBank location will consolidate two, older branches in Holyoke. As a financial services center, it will include a community room, a full-service bank branch, mortgage origination offices, educational seminars and financial services like insurance and investment products.
